Personnel Resources for All Marcellus Employees
The Marcellus Central School District relies on over 300 staff members to provide students with the educational experience that our residents have come to expect.  In an effort to support the efforts of our employees, personnel in the district office are responsible for providing the resources and information our employees need to work in the district.

Leaves of Absence
So you need to take a leave of absence?  There are many reasons a person needs to take some time away from work, and each has its own criteria or “rules” to adhere to.  Some leaves can be paid – but can only be paid if you have sick, personal or vacation time available.  Some are unpaid, but under certain circumstances your health benefits continue as though you were continuing to work.  Some require you to submit a letter requesting the leave, and depending on the circumstances, the district will either approve or deny the request.  Regardless of the type of leave, we ask that employees adhere to the guidelines found under each leave type to ensure that your leave is taken without cause for concern, and that your wages and benefits are properly handled.  Of course, if you have questions, please feel free to contact us for assistance.
