District Recognized for Financial Literacy
The Marcellus Central School District has been recognized as one of the “100 Best” Schools for financial literacy in the nation.
Marcellus ranked No. 20 overall in the country and sixth overall for mid-size schools. The list, compiled by national nonprofit Working in Support of Education (W!se), is based on the test scores from the Fall and Spring of 2022.
The “100 Best W!se High Schools Teaching Personal Finance” is the first and only national ranking of its type, recognizing excellence in personal finance instruction among W!se’s national network of schools that participate in its Financial Literacy Certification program.
“Congratulations to this year’s 100 Best schools,” said David Anderson, President and CEO of W!se.“These schools excel at teaching personal finance and we are all very proud to celebrate their outstanding achievement.”
