Results for the Budget Vote and Board of Education Election
The Marcellus Central School District's $38.97 million budget passed by a 504-201 vote Tuesday.
The budget calls for a 1.3 percent increase in spending over 2021-22 and carries a 1.89 percent tax levy increase.
Three new members were elected to the Board of Education. Erica Poquadeck led the way with 443 votes, Kathryn Branson Dennis had 427 votes, and Joshua Matousek received 375 votes.
Elizabeth Swenson had 351, while Karen Van Wyk had 169 votes.
Voters also passed the second proposition on the ballot, which was to purchase two 66-passenger buses and one 30-passenger school bus with a wheelchair lift. The final tally was 508-194.
The third proposition for the library levy passed 510-197.
